The government of India has laid down the standard specifications for the export of Indian Cashew Kernels under the Export (Quality Control And Inspection) Act 1963. This act prescribes 33 grades of cashew kernels, however only 26 grades are commercially available and exported across the globe. Depending upon the shape, size, and color of the kernel, Cashew Nut Kernels are graded into white / scorched wholes, pieces, splits and butts.
